  • Began coaching in 1977 at the age of 13.
  • In the past 33 years, he has coached at all levels of AAA hockey in the North Bay and surrounding area.
  • From 1984-1986, he coached the Tri-Tem Juvenile League in the NOHA.
  • Was an instructor at Northland Hockey School and the Canadian Hockey Academy as well as Eurocamp Hockey School.
  • Coached high school hockey in the Nipissing District with three different high schools
  • He was the assistant coach of the North Bay Skyhawks in 2004-2005 when they won the NOJHL championship
  • He was the Head Coach of the Nipissing Alouettes in 2008-2009.
    • He finished the regular season with 29 wins and 16 losses
    • The team lost in the second round of the playoffs
  • Nominated and placed second in the running for Coach of the year in the GMHL in 2008- 2009

Dean Harvey
 
  • Born and raised in North Bay, Ontario
  • Played AAA hockey
  • Played for the North Bay Centennials (of the Ontario Hockey League) at the age of 15
  • Was drafted in the first round by the Guelph Holiday Platters of the OHL
  • Centennial Cup winner in 1983 with the North York Rangers
  • After his hockey career finishe,d he moved to Barrie
  • Returned to North Bay and has coached all levels of AAA hockey
  • Dean’s experience as a player and coach will help him mentor the players on the team

  • Started with junior "A" hockey in 1995 with ihe Sturgeon Falls Lynx of the NOJHL as a security guard, the following year became head of security
  • Later became game Announcer then game day coordinator.
  • During his time with the Lynx, he was also a trainer and did public relations for the team.
  • In 2002, he moved with the team to North Bay as they became the North Bay Skyhawks of the NOJHL and was public relations and game coordinator; also did some play by play announcing during the playoffs and during the Dudley Hewitt Cup.
  • The following year, was a back up announcer at Memorial Gardens when required.
  • Left hockey for a few years before returning with the Nipissing Alouettes in their first year as coordinator/public relations director for a brief time.
